Basic Memory builds a persistent, semantic knowledge graph stored as local markdown, letting agents write and retrieve notes that link over time. It reads and writes files in the user's knowledge base. Since recalled notes re-enter the context and the store lives on local disk, note poisoning and file-scope are the security considerations.
